Shares in Inca Minerals (ASX code: ICG) surged 25% in morning trading after the company released a double dose of promising news following the return of assay results from a reconnaissance rock chip sampling program conducted in the southern part of the Riqueza Project and an adjacent area in the new Palcacandha Project.
Significant high grade primary gold mineralisation has been intersected in maiden reconnaissance drilling at a newly identified prospect located only 350 kilometres from another prominent deposit.

Artemis Resources (ASX: ARV) announced on Thursday that in-situ gold nuggets up to four centimetres long in archean conglomerates had been reported from the first trench at its Purdy’s Reward joint venture prospect. Novo Resources Corp, ARV’s farm-in partner has started exploration and collected a bulk sample of gold-bearing conglomerates from the first trial trench for analytical test work.

The last time we caught up with White Rock Minerals (ASX:WRM), the company had been busy setting itself up for multi-layered success. It had recently announced a promising JORC Mineral Resource Estimate at its highly prospective Red Mountain Project in Alaska — about 100 kilometres from Fairbanks — an advanced VMS project rich in high-grade zinc and silver deposits.
