Black Rock Mining appoints graphite marketing specialist
Following the announcement of its maiden JORC Resource and imminent scoping study, Black Rock Mining (ASX:BKT) has appointed a specialist product marketing consultant to focus on securing offtake agreements for its Mahenge Graphite project.
Robert Sills, a marketing specialist with over 20 years international experience in the marketing and development of specialty metals, will lead the way in negotiating with global intermediate processors and end users.
Sills has a significant track record of concluding agreements with global organisations and prior to joining BKT, held similar roles with Rio Tinto and Gold Corporation.
The appointment is a key part of Black Rock Mining’s strategy and corporate objectives for 2016,” said managing director Steve Tambanis.
“Robert has a strong professional pedigree in the key offtake supply markets that we will be focusing on.”
On 29 February BKT declared it had the biggest JORC graphite resource in Tanzania and the highest flake grade in the country.
That coupled with an imminent scoping study, gives Sills a lot to work with as BKT continues to focus on near-surface high grade targets.
