Ardiden Resources begins drilling at Root Lake
The diamond drilling has commenced following the completion of access to roads and site preparation including drill pads at site.
Subject to results the initial programme may comprise up to 600m of diamond drilling.
Site conditions have been favourable and ADV has confirmed that the first hole has successfully intersected the key spodumene-bearing pegmatite structures which are the main target of the drilling programme.
Preparation is now underway for the remaining drill holes.
A limited site survey at the location has identified additional large outcropping pegmatite structures to the north of the current drilling sites at the McCombe pegmatite.
The drill core will be logged, cut and prepared and once that is completed, drill samples will be sent for assaying and metallurgical testing.
The drill programme is designed to test and confirm significant reported historical lithium drill results at Root Lake.
The purpose of this programme is also to help define the boundaries of the main outcropping spodumene-bearing pegmatite structures which host the lithium mineralisation at the project.
The drilling will underpin the Company’s due diligence review of Root Lake.
