Telecommunications innovator Vonex Ltd (ASX:VN8) has provided a promising update on its progress towards the imminent launch of the Oper8tor app.

Oper8tor is a disruptive aggregated communications platform which targets the inclusion of conference, voice, message and video functionality, facilitating user communication across a broad range of channels.

Not only does the app feature innovative and state-of-the-art technologies that make for an impressive product in its own right, it offers another cross selling opportunity for Vonex as it continues to build scale across its broad offering.

The mobile app aims to seamlessly link all voice calls as well as messaging across multiple platforms and devices, making it an extremely efficient tool for small to medium enterprises and large businesses, suggesting strong demand, as has been the case with the group’s other products.

More than 100 beta versions of Oper8tor have now successfully passed through Apple's mobile app testing service TestFlight.

Through this process, the company has developed Oper8tor Version 1 to its final stages of completion.

On launch, Oper8tor will demonstrate features including call blast, cross-platform social media messaging incorporating SMS and improved contact management as well Oper8tor to Oper8tor message chat and voice calls.

Further development is expected to enable Oper8tor to link mobile phones, land lines, and selected social media communication apps simultaneously into a single voice call, further broadening its audience and driving increased demand.

In the week commencing June 17, Vonex will carry out third-party application unit testing and load testing to ensure Oper8tor performs as expected at scale.

The testing is expected to take two to three weeks, following which management will announce a formal launch date for Oper8tor, potentially the line in the sand when the company may experience share price momentum.

The screenshots below show a selection of the screen designs for the Oper8tor user experience which have undergone continual refinement ahead of launch.

Highlighting the importance of this development, while also underlining substantial global opportunities that lie in the development of other new products, Vonex managing director, Matt Fahey said, “The impending completion and initial launch of Oper8tor represents a significant milestone for Vonex.

“However, the hard work does not stop here, and Oper8tor users can expect to see continual updates to functionality after launch.”

“Oper8tor will ultimately solve the need for simplicity in telecommunications by being platform and device agnostic.

“We see a clear path to global scale which will keep Vonex at the forefront of voice and messaging aggregation.”
